Six Game Streak... The Pioneers have swept the last three weekends, most recently topping Wagner 76-47 on Monday. This is the first time since the 2010-11 season SHU has been on a six-game winning streak. On Saturday, the Sacred Heart Women's Basketball Team edged out Mount St. Mary's 58-50. The win tacked on to sweeping the last two weekends puts the Pioneers on their first five-game winning streak of the season. It all It all started with handing the Saint Francis Red Flash their first conference loss of the season live on NEC-TV 71-50, followed by the late come-from- behind 70-66 win over Robert Morris. This past weekend, they topped Monmouth 56-42 in the rematch of the 2012 NEC Champi- onship game. Then, on Monday, defeated Bryant 62-44.

Koniszewski Big Weekend... Blair Koniszewski was named the Choice Hotels Northeast Conference Player of the Week, her first conference weekly honor of her career, after the junior forward averaged 20.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game over the two-win road swing that extended the Pioneers' win streak to six in a row and pushed them into sole possession of second place in the NEC standings. Playing 28.5 minutes per contest, Koniszewski shot 47 percent from three- point range and accounted for a 3-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. The versatile 5-foot-11 forward erupted for a career-high 26 points in a 58-50 triumph over Mount St. Mary's. Not only did she provide 45 percent of Sacred Heart's scoring in the game, but Koniszewski came through in crunch time. With Sacred Heart clinging to a 49-48 lead and under 2:00 remaining in regulation, Koniszewski stepped up and sank her fourth three-pointer of the game. The third-year Pioneer completed a perfect day (12-for- 12) at the free throw by hitting a pair that bumped SHU's ad- vantage to eight points with 25 second left. Koniszewski hit four more three-pointers in her next outing at Wagner. The native Virginian finished the 76-47 victory with 14 points, four assists and no turnovers to her credit.
